Shadowed glimpses

Of pale green and gold

Dance like sparklers

Of twilights long ago

Wander along the path

As if you knew

Wrong from right

In this fight

In this night

Parliamentary realms

Sing the praises

Of the golden few

But what of those who really knew

Do they deserve the roses you bring

In the twinkling of the lights of the morrow

Dance as though the moronic view did not exist

But know that no alibi

Is better than rubies before breakfast

Lover cast your shadow on my name

I will whisper yours evermore
